General Information on our Motorcycle Tours
We offer tailor made motorcycle tours throughout South Africa either as fully guided or self guided tours.
Our guided motorcycle tours are accompanied by a support vehicle (minivan suitable for the size of the group) for luggage and transfers. For longer tours (more than 5 days) that go further a field we also tow a motorcycle trailer in the event of a breakdown or a rider not being able to continue with the tour. Pillions are welcome to travel in the support vehicle if they do not wish to ride the whole way. If there are non riders that wish to accompany the group we will arrange for a qualified driver/guide to drive the support vehicle so that they can enjoy a guided tour. Note: - on some of our adventure tours the support vehicle may however not always follow the exact route of the bikes.
We provide detailed route planning with accommodation bookings, maps and information materials for self guided motorcycle tours and offer 24/7 telephonic support.
We are currently able to offer tours on Harley Davidson Motorcycle from Johannesburg and Cape Town. One way tours are not possible at the moment so all our tours currently run full circle backto the respective rental dealership. Harley Davidson models available for rental are late model Heritage Softail or Electra Glide Ultra Classic. Road King & Street Glide available on request.
We are able to offer guided tours on BMW motorbikes throughout South Africa as well as a Southern African Motorbike expedition into Botswana. One way rentals are possible at an extra charge. BMW Modes currently available for rental are R1200GS, R1200GS Adventure, R1200R, R1200RT & F800GS.
Any standard guided tour can be adapted to be enjoyed on a motorcycle. This allows us to incorporate other activities into our tours such as golf, scuba diving and safaris.
We also offer a specialized motorbike tour for groups of between 8 & 16 riders called the Poker Run – this tour can be done on either Harley Davidson’s or BMWs. The tour is currently a 10 day tour through the Western Cape, but can of course be tailor-made. The tour is unique in that one lucky participant gets to win all his/her money back.
For those who do not have a bike licence but who would like to experience the thrill of the open road we can offer chauffer rides.
